Two players have played only three events on their respective tours and both are off great starts…
Camilo Villegas gave a youth golf clinic in his native Colombia two days before the start of the Honda Classic in Florida. He then won by five shots over Anthony Kim, giving him his third PGA Tour victory. His 13-under total was the lowest 72-hole score since the event was moved to PGA National in 2007. And Camilo’s three events on the PGA Tour in 2010 and have given him three top 10’s including his win at Honda.
Fred Couples won his second straight Champions Tour event at the Toshiba Classic. Freddie has also made only three starts, his coming on the 50-and-over tour, and his worse finish has been second place in the season-opening event in Hawaii.
No doubt these two are currently playing the best golf on the planet…with numbers very reminiscent of those put up by Tiger Woods.
